The Goto Tradition was the most famous family amount the sword fittings craftsmen. The continued for around 400 years from the late Muromachi Period until the Bakumatsu Period. Starting from the founder, Yujo Goto to the next 17 generations. The Waki-goto Tradition is the branches of the main Goto lineage. The 1st Waki-Goto was derived from the 5th Soke named Takujo. There are a total of 14 families that make up these branches. The theme of this Futatokoro, in this case a pair of Kozuka and Kogai, is Orchid Bouquet crafted on the Shakudo Nanako surface with gold plate. A very elegant and fine work. It is Mumei but has been attributed to the Waki-goto Tradition. It has passed the Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu in 2010.
