Other Info
The theme of this pair of Menuki is Mikawa Manzai, a traditional dance. This dance is a traditional dance that used to be performed during the new year holiday in the Mikawa area. Recently, however, it is performed in various places and during different seasons. The dance was performed wearing Eboshi hat and Suo clothes while using a fan to pray for a plentiful harvest and prosperity. It is Mumei but has been attributed to the Kyo-kanagushi Tradition. The workmanship and Iroe technique are of skilled quality, even more so than the average Kyo-kanagushi item. It has passed the Hozon Tosogu in 2012.
