The theme of this Tsuba is Maru-kuginuki and Kumi-igeta Family Crests. It is Mumei but has been attributed to the Myochin Tradition. This Tradition was originally armor smiths and later became Tsuba and other iron-made fittings. This Tsuba was made from well-forged iron, and therefore attributed to the Myochin Tradition. It has passed the Hozon Tosogu in 2018. |
