We became an advertising sponsor of the monthly magazine “Edogaku (Knowing Edo makes Tokyo even more fun)” in March this year. Since then, I have continued to convey the charm of Japanese swords to the editor, and in the August issue, they have put together a special edition on Japanese swords called “Japanese Swords (Touching Their Beauty and Heart)”. Our sword, Motomitsu [基光](Juyo Token), was used in the illustrations, and I also provided some advice, so I am looking forward to the readers’ reaction. I hope that understanding of Japanese swords will increase and that the number of sword enthusiasts will increase.

The 25th Noda Token Ichi July 14, 2025
The 25th Noda Token Ichi (Sword Fair) was held for three days from Friday, July 11th at the Business Hotel Noda. It has been held every six months, in January and July, for over a decade. It is supported by hotel staff, advertising agencies, and new and old customers. In 2021, we moved our sales base from Noda to our Nishikasai shop in Tokyo, so we must make an effort not to neglect our connections with local sword collecters. It is also important to find new customers. We will do our best to come up with creative ideas to increase our sales everytime!
Nihonto Shonan Sasaki July 6, 2025
Yesterday, July 5th, a Japanese sword shop called “Japanese Sword Shonan Sasaki [日本刀 湘南佐々木]” opened next to Odawara Castle. The shop’s representative, Yoichi Sasaki, is a key member of the Noda-kai Sword auction, which is organized by our company. He has a long career as a sword dealer and is a proactive person who is leading the way in websites and new initiatives. If you live in the Odawara area or are visiting Odawara Castle, please stop by.
