{"id":162,"date":"2016-06-30T03:54:03","date_gmt":"2016-06-30T03:54:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.touken-matsumoto.jp\/eng\/blog\/?p=162"},"modified":"2016-07-01T04:14:21","modified_gmt":"2016-07-01T04:14:21","slug":"armour-tsuba-jun-30-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.touken-matsumoto.jp\/eng\/blog\/2016\/06\/30\/armour-tsuba-jun-30-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Kachushi Tsuba Jun. 30, 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.touken-matsumoto.jp\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/TSU1111-7.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-499 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.touken-matsumoto.jp\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/TSU1111-7-300x210.jpg\" alt=\"TSU1111-7\" width=\"300\" height=\"210\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When I put &#8220;Muromachi Era&#8221; for the &#8220;Era&#8221; in the explanation of the &#8220;Hozon Tosogu Tsuba Mumei (Kachushi)&#8221; shown on our website, a customer pointed out that &#8220;If it&#8217;s Muromachi Era, it should say &#8216;Ko-Kachushi&#8217; on the NBTHK certificate&#8221;, and so I checked with an NBTHK screening committee member.<\/p>\n<p>It seems that not all pre-Edo Era works are sure to have &#8220;Ko-&#8221; attached to them, but (in principle) it seems that they apply &#8220;Ko-Kachushi&#8221; for Murumachi Era works and &#8220;Kachushi&#8221; for Edo Era works.<\/p>\n<p>Incidentally, it seems that the default assumption is that &#8220;Owari&#8221; and &#8220;Kyozukashi&#8221; are\u00a0 Muromachi Era. When a work is through thought to be from the Edo Era, they assign &#8220;Owari (Edo Era)&#8221; and &#8220;Kyozukashi (Edo Era)&#8221;, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>This was a learning experience.
