Other Info
Boars live in herds, are sensitive and careful by nature, and are known for moving forward in a straight line, as the word "chototsumoushin" (a reckless rush forward) suggests. Their bravery and courage were popular among samurai. This item consists of three sword fittings (menuki, kozuka, and kogai) depicting a galloping boar, with a lustrous shakudo with nanako pattern base and gold. It was recognized as a Kyo-kinko metalwork and passed the Hozon Tosogu shinsa in the February 2025.
