This fuchi-kashira depicts an orchid on the fuchi of a shakudo surface and a bamboo on the kashira, carved with katakiri-bori and ke-bori techniques. The metal craftsman, Saito Yoshihiko [斎藤芳彦], was born in Bunka 3 (1806).
