Other Info
This metal worker, Tokuno Terutoki [徳埜英辰] studied under two outstanding generations of the Omori soke, Omori Terumasa [大森英昌] and Teruhide (adopted son of Terumasa). He also allowed to use the surname Omori. His signature is Omori Terutoki(Kao)[大森英辰(花押)], Tokuno Terutoki (Kao), and Ichimudo Terutoki (Kao) [一夢堂英辰(花押)]. The Omori school is a prominent branch of the Yokoya school, alongside the Ishiguro school. Compared to the flashy designs of the Ishiguro school, this school has a relatively rustic feel. This fuchi-kashira features a Japanese spiny lobster design on a shakudo nanako base with intricate, takaniku-bori inlay carving. It passed the Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu shinsa in May 2025.
