The craftsman, Kiyosada from Sendai, was a high rank craftsman. He was born in 1741 and initially was taught by his father but moved to Edo and became a disciple of the Omori Tradition. In 1780s he returned to Sendai and became an official worker of the Date Clan with his father. By use of Sen-Zogan technique he created wonderful precise gold lines in his work to make his themes striking, such as in this item. It has passed the Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu shinsa in 2019 |
