| The butterfly, which transforms from larva to chrysalis before emerging in beautiful form, is regarded as a symbol of growth, change, and rebirth. This fuchi-kashira features an oversized butterfly depicted on the shakudo base nanako pattern ground with ireko insert structure. It is probably the Murakami [村上] school, known for its butterfly motifs and represented by Jochiku [如竹]. |
