This is a fuchi-kashira set with a design of waves scattered with paulownia crests.The paulownia crest is a prestigious and auspicious motif. Arranged among dynamic waves, the composition conveys a sense of vitality within its refined elegance. Small gold iroe dew-like inlays further enhance the scene, skillfully suggesting the shimmering of water.From the style, it is considered to be the work of a Kyoto metalworker of the late Edo period.
