This Katana was forged in 1470 by Tadamitsu from Osafune, Bizen Province. There are Tadamitsu in the lineage from the late Kamakura to the late Muromachi Period. He was one of the swordsmith representatives of the Sengoku Jidai Period in Bizen Province, so called "Sue Bizen." This Katana has the features of the Sue Bizen. It comes with a Higo Uchigatana style Koshirae with a brown lacquer Ishimeji-nuri Saya. It passed the Hozon Token in 1997.
