Kawachi Daijo Fujiwara Kunisada has a linerae of two generations. Both were ranked Waza-mono Swordsmiths. They were active during the early Edo Period in Aizu Province. Considering the features of the Mei, this blade likely forged by the 1st generation. He received the title of Kawachi Daijo in 1640 and passed away in 1659. This blade is very long at 74.70cm. It comes with an Uchigatana style Koshirae with a black lacquer Ishimeji-nuri Saya. It has passed the Tokubetsu Hozon Token in 2022. |
