Considering the features of the Mei, this Katana was forged by Tadayuki, second generation. He was the son of Takayuki, first generation and active in Bungo Province during the Mid Edo Period. The style of this Katana resembles Koshizori style. A beautiful shape.The Kitae is Koitame-nagare as well as a faint Bo-utsuri and the Hamon is Sugu-notare. A very elegant blade. It comes with an Uchigatana style Koshirae with a dark brown lacquer Tsuchimeji Saya. It has passed the Hozon Token Shinsa in 2023. |
