| Though reminiscent of Goto's meticulous work, this solid gold menuki depicts a single lion, appraised as the Kyo-kinko tradition because of the circle pattern, not the Suhama pattern or the mokko pattern on its body. The thick base plate suggests a late Edo period work. Passed the Hozon Tosogu shinsa in February 2025. |
