Naoaki [直鏡] was a desciple of swordsmith Shoji Naokatsu [荘司直勝] and lived in Edo. He reproduced Nobuie [信家]'s tsuba with the design of arabesque patterns, and tortoiseshell patterns, etc. Naoaki made this tsuba based on Nobuie's tsuba.
