Oono Tsuba was made in the early Edo period in Ono-sho, Chita-gun, Owari Province. It resembles Owari, Kanayama, and Yagyu. This tsuba features a well-balanced composition of saddle. This small, thick, and rugged tsuba has been attributed to the Oono. Some tekkotsu are seen on the rim, giving it a strength that at first glance makes it seem like an Owari tsuba. It has passed the Hozon Tosogu shinsa in 2024. |
