Metalwork from the Muromachi period that cannot be identified as Goto, Kyoto, or Mino is collectively called Kokinko. This tsuba depicts Paulownia Crests and Vines on a shakudo Nanako ground, using the sukidashi-takabori and the gold bag-covered color painting techniques. It is mumei, but has been attributed to the Ko-kinko (Momoyama) and has passed the Hozon Tosogu shinsa in 2003. |
