| A tsuba appraised as the Ko-shoami, featuring square and circle openwork. Ko-shoami is an attribution for works made earlier than the Edo period whose maker or tradition cannot be identified. This tsuba was made of a well-forged, thin, rounded iron tsuchime-ji/hammered ground. It features a border along the rim, with numerous small spiral patterns arranged with gold overlay around it. Passed the Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu shinsa in 2023. |
