| This tsuba features a refined openwork design combining matsukawabishi (pine-bark diamond) and wild geese. Matsukawabishi is a traditional geometric motif embodying strength and dignity, and in this work, the contrast between the static matsukawabishi and the dynamic geese creates a sophisticated composition. In 2012, it was attributed to Kyō-sukashi and received Hozon certification. |
