| Fuji Minamoto Yoshimune was a student of Hosokawa Masayoshi. His personal name was Fuji Hekinosuke, and he also used the title Samanosuke. His native province was Suruga, and he later resided in Edo. He was active around the Tenpō era (1830–1844).This work is a carefully made short straight yari. As the blade length is just under 3 sun 9 bu (11.9 cm), it does not require registration in Japan. The sayagaki states: “A student of Hosokawa Masayoshi. Forged within the precincts of Fujinomiya Sengen Taisha shrine.”Passed the NBTHK Hozon Token shinsa in 2025. |
