A unique "Nobukane [信包]" inscription that can be read for unknown character [住口包]" on the takanoha file nakago, and even after suriage/shortened by 2.3 inches (6.9 cm), it is still 2 shaku 4.9 inches (75.5 cm) long brade, a sturdy katana. The Hozon Token certificate in 2024 stated that it was from probably Mino province, late Muromachi period. There is no specific swordsmith in the current meikan/dictionary, so it is thought to be an assumption based on the inscription and takanoha file on the nakago. It comes with a Handachi style koshirae with a black lacquer shichi-go-san pattern saya. |
