Yukihisa [行久] was belonged to the Kozori Tradition. From the first generation around Oan (1368-), to the second generation around Oei (1394-), and the third generation around Eikyo (1429-), this tanto-wakizashi is thinly kasane and shows the transition period from the Enbun-Joji style to the Oei-bizen style. There is a slight sign of wear and tear from the passage of time, but the file marks on the tang, which is inscribed with the distinctive Yukihisa's signature, and the condition of the rust are sound. This is a Kozori-mono from the early Muromachi period, recognized a slightly bo-utsuri. It passed the Hozon Token shinsa in 2001. It comes with a Chisagatana style koshirae consisting of black lacquer saya with copper made fittings. |
